Our vision is to keep Marlboro Township Public Schools as among the most sought after schools in the state and country. It’s achievable and here’s why it matters.
A study from Realtor.com showed that home values inside top-rated school districts were 49 percent higher than the national median home price. The study analyzed data from the residential listing database and school district ratings from GreatSchools.org. But this is just one piece of evidence.
This study, and many others like it, focus on hard outcome data, that is the numerical rating of our schools. But reputation is more than an algorithm of test scores and student achievement. We must also remain sought after by parents far and wide.
Intrinsically, we know that when people seek out a township for its excellent educational marks, everyone wins. Our students get an unmatched education, the best teachers seek out the district, and our community thrives financially. Our home values increase.
Another measure that should not be overlooked is the reputation of the school. Is it welcoming? Do faculty, administrators and board overseers work toward improvement? What is our reputation in the media? Online? These are all factors that matter, even though they aren’t currently well documented.
A fourth pillar of our plan is to punctuate the success of our schools. With a bold exclamation point. We believe that it’s critical to maintain our reputation because it is aligned with our students’ achievements and teacher qualifications We want to be known as one of the best school districts, in the state and nationwide.
