Focus on Marlboro Education is the only non-partisan slate running for Marlboro Board of Education. Unlike other candidates, our team has a diverse mix of views. We think that’s a great thing, because it demonstrates our singular ability to collaborate, listen, build consensus, and relate to all people. Overwhelmingly, what we stand for is what is right – for parents, students, teachers, and our schools.
Unlike other candidates who just say that they’re not political, we do not support or appeal to any extreme views, and the proof is in our platform. While those candidates focus their entire platform on the latest politized grievances, ours focuses on educating children. While they routinely discredit Marlboro Township schools and teachers, we commend them for their excellence and efforts. While they are distracted by the melodrama of the day, we remain laser focused on education.
Our adversaries have most recently fixated on our early branding in their latest effort to discredit us. They got it wrong, as usual. We initially signed on with ATNJ because we heard they were offering support to candidates. We needed the help, and we liked that they were trying to stand up to extremism, which was one of the things that motivated us as well. However, within days after signing up, but only after petitions were filed, we realized that our positions were not fully aligned with theirs, and we parted ways. That’s it. That’s our journey that brought us to where we are today.
We did wonder why our branding upset our opponents so much, but that became clear quickly; they’re just projecting. Take, for instance, their use of “Education Not Indoctrination.” That’s as original as the Federalist Society that seems to have originated the slogan, which has been used all across this country and is a staple in the Moms For Liberty playbook. The proof is in the images, which are only a few of thousands that appear from coast to coast. So much for originality.
When people show you who they are, believe them.
