We are Focused on Marlboro Education. Academic excellence is our priority, and we will strive to remain the destination schools in New Jersey that parents actively seek for their kids.
Achieving this demands fiscal responsibility and putting education first. We believe our school budget should focus on initiatives that enhance education and foster a dynamic learning environment, and our policies should reflect a commitment to academic excellence and ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment for all students.
Let’s accomplish academic excellence, together. We believe we have a plan that everyone can get behind:
Work with our community, parents, teachers, administrators, and students with the effort they deserve and out of respect for their values.
We will welcome input from all community members and believe that everyone’s thoughts are important. We all have the same shared value – academic excellence – and that can only be achieved by working side-by-side with everyone. At the same time, we respect the expertise of the professionals hired to manage our schools and educate our children.
Communicate openly and with respect.
The Board of Education has a duty to effectively communicate with the community. Every voice should count, and our community and school faculty should not be afraid to step forward and voice concerns, or champion causes. As parents and community members, you have the right to know about all aspects of your child’s education. We will listen to the voices of the community and echo that to the State Board of Education.
Take a measured approach to school spending.
State budget cuts, along with the end of COVID relief, will impact our available resources. We will take an analytical approach to ensuring our budget is spent toward achieving academic excellence.
Highlight our schools, teachers and administrators in a way that punctuates their success and reputation as one of the best school systems in New Jersey.
Our school system is highly sought after by many parents in and out of the State, and we need to keep it that way. Our actions have a direct impact on our reputation, and we must consider how we approach all issues with this in mind. With New Jersey lowering the qualifications for teaching in public schools, we must attract and continue to retain the best talent available.
